Most car accident which caused serious injuries or
fatalities are the result of the car failure to stop in
time. Even though the driver has applied the brake in the
instant of the emergency, the car still unable to stop in
time before the impact.
In most case, when
such panic braking is applied, the car would loose control.
This is caused by the effect of differential line pressure
in the rubber brake hoses located at four different wheels.
Each and every wheel would experience alternate locking
which happened when the brake caliper in individual wheel
received different hydraulic pressure than the other.
This problem is caused by the rubber brake hoses which
link the metal pipe from the chassis to the moving axle. The
rubber brake hose is applied here because of the flexibility
required to cater for the motion of the wheels and chassis
due to the suspension effect. The metal brake pipe was too
rigid to be applied.
This problem is
more obvious in older car of 3-10 years old. This is where
the rubber compound in the brake hose started to deteriorate. New car of the lower price range without ABS
brake system may also experience this problem. This cheaper
car category are usually fitted with cheaper range of rubber
brake hose which will not last long.
Due to the
inconsistency of hose expansion on four different wheels,
the car will loose
control during emergency or panic braking. When you brake
extremely hard, operating pressure as high as 3,000psi is
attainable in the brake system. This high pressure
is quite normal with the powerful vacuum boosted brake system
installed in most cars today.
Each and every wheel
will lock itself at an alternate second, causing the vehicle
to loose control by swerving left or right. When
this happen the vehicle is as good as a cannon ball or high
speed projectile until the point of impact. Nothing much the
driver or the occupant of the vehicle can do at this moment
except to brace for impact.
This type of accident
account for much of the road fatalities and serious injuries
around the world.
For cars with ABS Brake System, PRO-RS has proven to enhanced the
ability of ABS System to perform even better than standard.
With PRO-RS installed the car is able to reduced its
stopping distance a good deal shorter than a standard car.
Other factors such as overloading, tyres which are out
of service, bad suspension, incapacitate driver due to
Alcohol may also have contributed to the high accident rate.
PRO-RS provides improved safety for motor vehicles
through effective speed reduction, without losing
controllability. These capabilities are achieved through the
material and construction technology build into its brake
hose.
PRO-RS brake hose inner core is made of 100%
pure Teflon®.
(Teflon is the trademark of DuPont)
Teflon is a material with low friction and low expansion.
PRO-RS Teflon hose is extruded with a thickness and
precision which is
compliance to Aerospace industry. At this thickness the
expansion rate of the hose under extreme pressure is kept to minimal.
Importantly for PRO-RS Teflon hose, precise thickness is
maintained through out the length with extreme precision.
All these high quality measures is what made every
customer happy with the improved performance PRO-RS given to
their car controllability.
Thick stainless steel wire
braid covers the outer part of the Teflon hose. This
protects the Teflon against abrasion or impact by high speed
object during driving such as stones. The wire braid also
increased the structure strength of PRO-RS brake hose, yet
is still flexible.
PRO-RS not only improves
the braking performance of ordinary family car but also that
of a Supercar which already been fitted with world's most powerful brake, the same as
top racing cars.
With such capability, the vehicle can be
stop in time during emergency which avoid unnecessary
collision. This would result in huge reduction of
serious accident caused by uncontrollable vehicles, where
serious injuries are reduced and many lives can be saved.
